Thanksgiving Looks for Him

  • 2 min read

Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. It’s a feeling. We think of it as a perfect mix of warmth, gratitude, and celebration, all rolled into one. Whether you’re hosting at home, gathering around a family table, or traveling for the long weekend, how you dress should feel as easy as the company you keep. (Or, if we’re being honest, maybe your outfit needs to be EASIER than the company you keep.)

While many joke that this is the holiday made for elastic waist pants, we beg to differ. After all, great style begins with intention. A few well-chosen pieces can take you from kitchen prep to cocktails with ease, so you’ll be comfortably stylish no matter what the day has in store for you.

The Modern Host

If you’re welcoming guests, choose comfort that looks elevated. Think tailored denim or wool trousers, paired with a cashmere or soft flannel shirt. When guests arrive, layer with an unstructured sport coat in a seasonal tone for effortless refinement. You can keep the good times rolling, literally, with some of our favorite finds from Stenstroms and Johnnie-O. Roll up your sleeves, pour a round of drinks, and fill the room with your good host energy.

For more elevated, tailored looks, we also love the button down shirts and quarter zip sweaters from Bugatchi in a variety of colors and patterns.

The Guest

You don’t have to outshine the turkey, but a little confidence never hurts. Pair a pair cords or dark denim from AG or Rye51, with a fine-gauge turtleneck from Ralph Lauren or button-down under a cashmere quarter-zip. Add suede loafers or chukka boots to finish.

The Weekend Wanderer

Thanksgiving often spills into long walks, football games, or quick escapes for coffee (and maybe a little venting). This is where refined layering shines. A lightweight puffer vest, flannel from Faherty, and selvedge denim keep things functional and stylish. A cashmere beanie or leather gloves adds texture and warmth.

The Finishing Touches

Accessories tell your story. This season, we’re featuring Comstock Heritage, American-made, hand-engraved belt buckles that pair perfectly with alligator or calfskin belts and accessories (like money clips and bracelets). “Details make the difference,” says Trevor. “Accessories are where craftsmanship meets personality.” Whether you’re drawn to Western-inspired metalwork or clean, minimalist design, the right accessory adds the perfect note of individuality. Plus, these accessories travel well and add tons of style that can be tucked away into your carry-on.

Thanksgiving is all about showing up. But, even if you’re still at the kids’ table, who says you can’t show off a little bit.

Looking put-together without trying too hard. Pay us a visit and we’ll have your holiday ready, no matter where the season takes you.

From our family at Trevor Furbay Bespoke to yours, here’s to gratitude, good company, and great style.
